tastes a bit darker than it’s color would suggest - little bit of a roasted note. Might pass for a lighter dunkel bock in a blind tasting.
lightly hopped, smooth finish, nice and thick like a bock should be.
very easy to drink - but a bit heavy to guzzle on a hot day.
good stuff. Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 6, 2006 This bock pours a light orange amber color from a 500ml bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity (pineapple and peach) and slightly bready. Touch of floral and sweetness. A medium bodied bock. Malts are bread and cookies. Lots of fruit flavors, pineapple mostly. Touch of floral hops. A little thin tasting and perhaps a little too sweet, but not a bad beer. Smooth tasting, nice malty finish. Seems to hide the alcohol fairly well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish Is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. hotstuff (3183), Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 12, 2003 When poured, this beer had an average sized white head with fine-small sized bubbles that mostly diminished. The body was hazy with very little carbonation and a pale yellow hue. The nose was malty, hoppy and some fruit notes. It had a bitter taste to it with a tingly, smooth, thin-watery texture along with a burning sensation in my stomach. This beer was light bodied with sparse lacing. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 17, 2004 Sweet malt aroma with a slight fruitiness and caramel nose. Hazy dull orange body with a small silky white head. Taste starts very sweet with a creamy caramel taste. The upfront malty russ quickly takes back seat to the bitterness which balances it out. The finish has a bit of bitterness and some lingering caramel tastes and a mild alcohol taste. Very thick creamy mouthfeel and good balance. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Oct 10, 2003 This brew poured a large head of finely sized white colored mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a poor lacing and a softly carbonated straw yellow colored body. The aroma is sweetly malted with perhaps some fruity and wheat elements to it. The mouthfeel is very smooth from start to finish. The flavor is sweetly malted with notes of bread and honey. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 15, 2004 Lightly hazed dark golden color with a dense milk colored head. Sweet caramel and honey aromas with some flowery noble hops in the background - a touch heavy. Fairly thick and slick in feel. Sweet malt flavors rule in this one. Honey, caramel, and a touch of warming alcohol. A mid echelon heller.
