Anglofile (135), Piti, Guam Oct 22, 2006 Bottle. Lots of wheat here. Cloudy amber pour with a nice head. Fruity aroma with malts and yeast. Carbonation enhances the feeling on the tongue. Very strong beer; alcohol is detectable and pleasant. Mmmmmm. anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Jan 19, 2006 Pours a hazy-cloudy dark amber colour into the glass. The head is off-white and big, but disapperas quite quickly. It has a big wheaty smell with hints of yeast and citrus. The taste is mild and a bit tangy. The taste is also a bit fruity and hints of wheat and citrus. On the beer bottle it says ABV 7.2% but it doesn’t taste strong and there’s no hints of alcohol.
Saarlander (1577), Saarlouis, Germany Aug 13, 2005 Poured a nice orange, Lots of floaties. Malty, with Spicy citrus flavors, smoky aftertaste. I enjoyed this one. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA May 4, 2005 Cloudy orange rust. Very funky aroma, with scents of tobacco leaves, horseblanket, green raisins...very yeasty...light barnyard, dough. Enjoyable nose for sure. Flavor is fatty and lip coating, lightly vinous and full of sour fruit flavors and leathery malts. Lightly thin mouth. Very earthy and delicious. YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany May 1, 2004 Hazy brown orange color, little head. Kind of sweet - vanilla and banana - but there were some weird untertones in the taste. pivo (2535), Germany Apr 13, 2004 Spicy, clovey nose with a slight alcohol tinge; hazy pale copper color; fizzy and foamy head. Rather dark for a hefeweizen. Some vanilla and orange/citrus flavors. The yeast component is Belgian-like. End end is spicy and clovey. Creamy, smooth and well-balanced. I quite enjoyed this and would recommend it. DaSilky1 (1933), San Diego, California, USA Dec 20, 2003 the bubbles were dancing like snowflakes falling in the wrong direction...an upside down festive christmas...the skies were covered in inch thick beige snow and underneath lay a light golden amber ground...sugary morning cereal aromas lift from the glass and a faint hint of champagne grapes lingers in the background...smokey flavors rejoice around tart grapes..the grapes take over into the finish and bring tartness to the party. MaxPower (961), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Jan 9, 2003 Pours a cloudy-hazy amber color, decent foamy, fizzy off white head that doen"t last long, sweet malty bready wheat aroma. Sour smokey yeasty flavors of caremel wheat and bananas, medium bodied with alot of carbonation, sour finish and aftertaste, not bad.
