| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 8, 2004 Had this at the Bier Garden in Portsmouth VA on 8-7-04. Slightly hazed blond body with a small white head. Aroma is slightly malted with some lighter fruit notes. Taste is mild malt mixed with dull hops and a grassy/hay hint. Palate is nicely carbonated and refreshing. Finish is suitably malted and grassy. Pretty good stuff. Ernest (4501), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 29, 2004 Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted
grain), lightly hoppy (herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter.
Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Mild and restrained pils. BigBastard (668), L.A., California, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 7, 2004 color is hazy for a pilsener, light to medium golden, no head. aroma has a mustiness to it, diacetyl. flavor is dry, with some bitterness in the finish. the flavor is OK, but it's just not that interesting. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 10, 2004 Light yellow, good head, nice lacing. Aroma of grass and hay. Light bodied, but not watery. Spritzy hops with a bit of a pleasant herbal quality on the finish. Subtle, and quite nice. Rather badly underrated IMHO. Britales (56), Cape Charles, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 1, 2004 Unlike a couple of the reviews that I have seen here, this is a fine example of a southern style soft Pils.Dry but not bitter, nice white head, (when poured properly)and extremely drinkable! This brewery has been producing Pils for over 100 years, one of the few for this relatively recent style! On draught an even better experience! BeerLimey (1873), California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 14, 2004 Lightly flavorful German pils, decent malt backbone, starts a touch fruity. Predominantly hoppy, initially dry then good bitterness in the second half. argo0 (6978), Washington DC, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 1, 2004 Hazy grapefruit juice body with minimal white head. Aroma is grassy, light citrus. Taste is fairly sharp grassy bitter up front, quickly overtaken by grapefruit that carries through to the swallow. Light, rather crisp body. Unusual for a German pilsner.
