| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 2, 2006 A yellow beer with a huge white head. The aroma has light notes of both butter and hops, while the flavor is sweet malty, leading to a dry bitter end. The buttery aroma is a drawback. Papsoe (15097), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 10, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Pale golden with a fairly decent head. Usually South German pilseners are less hoppy, but this really is an exception. This is bitter like hell. Aromatic from the hops but almost sickingly bitter killing my taste buds. "Wohl abgerundet" (well rounded) the label claims - my ass it ain’t. 070302 joergen (8621), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 1, 2004 Hazy grapefruit juice body with minimal white head. Aroma is grassy, light citrus. Taste is fairly sharp grassy bitter up front, quickly overtaken by grapefruit that carries through to the swallow. Light, rather crisp body. Unusual for a German pilsner. bierkoning (6077), La Tropica, Netherlands

Some grassy hops in the aroma. Long grassy aftertaste. Medium bodied. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

Pale gold with white head. Crisp, dry but somewhat thin. There is a grassy, dry, green hop onn a biscuity malt, but little else. A fairly standard pilsener. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 7, 2006 A very sweet malt aroma hangs over this golden Pils bolstered by an herbal hop bitterness that I wish would be stronger. Thick but somewhat watery, it’s got a sweet, cookie dough malt taste with a decent hop counter-balance. Mildly bitter finish, again, somewhat watery. Needs more.
