Dark and sparkly, with a dark tan frothy head. Aromas of smoke, sourdough bread, caramel and malt. Flavor is full of rich hops, burnt toffee, chocolate, and herbs. Real nice smooth bitterness with good chewy dark malt character. Pleasant lingering finish, with an aftertaste of apples and strawberries. A very good, balanced brew.

Dark, dark red beer with a smooth and cool cut for a dunkel. There’s just a hint of nuttiness, but this is a excellent smooth drinker. Yummy.

Pours a nice reddish copper with a TALL, firm, reddened head. Translucent body. Nose is European hops, malt, and caramel or toffee. There is a malt laden surprise awaiting your tongue with this. More caramel notes abound. Light hop presence. Crisp clean flavor and mouthfeel. Excellent dunkel!

Bottle. Alternating sweet and dry aroma, caramel and roast malt with red berry. Grapey malt touches, but not as much as in a Bock. Beautiful murky brown / chestnut pour with a big lacing rocky tanned head. Nutty taste with red berry swirling. Medial sweetness balanced by faint bitterness. Really tasty and addictively quaffable. Mf is excellent – crisp and silken, light-medium body with a good dose of malt. Solid Dunkel!

(Bottle 50 cl) Incredibly pretty amber coloured beer with a creamy head that leaves a pretty lacework. Very soft and aromatic with plenty of roasted malt and malty sweetness. A wee perfumy touch and only a weak bitterness. Excellent. 150202

Nice brown color, small mildly lived head.Nice roasted malt aroma with a slight sweetness to it,faint hops and a mild spice as well. The taste was better then i thought it would be,malty semi-sweet with a nice caramel note, hops and a slight fruit presence of raisin mild chocolate, with a sweet malty after taste with just a hint of hopps. This is definately a nice brew and worth the 2.50 to get it.

Bottle from State Line. Pours hazy deep brown with 1-finger tan head. Aroma of heavy Wheaties, nuts, some tannins and brown sugar. Tastes richly malty, like a bowl of Wheaties, with some figs, nuts, ovaltine. Fairly dense palate, and not sweet.
