Tap @ O’Brien’s. Poured black with a tan head. The aroma was roasty with chocolate and fruity notes of raspberry. The flavor was a smooth blend of chocolate and raspberry then some roast to finish it up. there was even some woody notes. Medium bodied.

Tap at O’Briens SD: Deep brown with a minimal head and just a touch of lace. The aroma has notes of ripe raspberry, fig, chocolate, smoke, grassy hops and an earthy element. The taste is quite yummy with tart raspberry covered in bittersweet chocolate. There is a smoky finish with hints of grains of paradise. The mouth feel is smooth, lush, and oily. This is pretty nice with the interplay of fruit and chocolate, Mikey Likey.

On tap @ O’Brien’s......I bet I saw the guy below me there last night.....go Romo...its your birthday. anyways, One of the most interesting brews I’ve encountered in a while. Big nose of raspberries, mocha and chocolate. Slight oak, very clean and fruity.

1st rating. On tap @ O’brien’s during pre SAF insanity. Had to try this after not having any of the Nickel variety. This is barrel aged captain stout with raspberries. Pours black with a thin tan head. The nose is full or raspberries and malt, with a hint of wood from the barrel. Taste is sweet, fruity and robust. The raspberry nicely balances with the other characteristics in the beer. The taste is well rounded and sweet and overall damn nice. Great mouth feel, very drinkable.
