Commercial Description:
Boris is a hearty Imperial Stout that is aged in 10 year old Bourbon barrels. We’ve added a custom blend of cold brewed coffee to enhance the complexity. You’ll love the rich maltiness with hints of chocolate and dark fruit in this formidable brew

22oz from the powerful tytoanderso - thanks, Tyler! Deep black pour with a modest head. Very fulsome aroma, and you can immediately tell it’s cold-brewed even without knowing. Something about that clarity, for lack of a better term. Strangely thin body, though, with a bit of fizz in the finish. Hard to compare with The Weaz, which we had shortly beforehand, but still oddly thin and with hints of tartness. Can’t even detect the barrel, really. Not a fail, but definitely a "meh."

Poured black with a large brown head. Sweet and very roasty with a large amount of old coffee. Mild vanilla and fruit. The flavor is tart with coffee. Not coffee that I would normally drink a cup of. Tart finish Medium body and warming.

Thanks to wetherel for sending this one my way. Very deep dark brown beer. The aroma is quite lovely. Sweet with loads of dark chocolate and vanilla over a sweet caramel/toffeeish maltiness. Soft sweet toastiness with a fairly heavy contribution from the barrel. Soft and chewy with a nice cocoa sweetness.

Bottle shared by BrianK. Pours a black body with a 3 finger dark coffee head. Look at this cascade. Chocolate, bourbon, light chewy chocolate. Big alcohol warming with some maple and wood. Licorice and some dark fruit as well. Very big and complex.

Sampled at the Bockyhorsey tasting. Black with tan head. Bourbon alcohol aroma and flavor for the most part. A sweet roasted flavor present also. Too much alcohol.
