Commercial Description:
Boris is a hearty Imperial Stout that is aged in 10 year old Bourbon barrels. We’ve added a custom blend of cold brewed coffee to enhance the complexity. You’ll love the rich maltiness with hints of chocolate and dark fruit in this formidable brew

Sampled at the Bockyhorsey tasting. Black with tan head. Bourbon alcohol aroma and flavor for the most part. A sweet roasted flavor present also. Too much alcohol.

Had a bomber of this last night thanks to a trade with "hannont". Colour was black with a thin, tan head. The nose...WAKE UP and smell the java jive, man, it’s like NOW, baby! On the palate....espresso with a view! Location, location, location!! Madagascar vanilla, slightly boozy, charred oak, roasty. A nice lingering tang on the back palate, reminiscent of Dutch dark chocolate. Mmmm... mmmm!

Hmm. I think this is thanks to MaxxDaddy?! Bomber. Pours a great deep dark black opaque with a nice lasting tan head. Aroma is instantly coffee, but slightly stale though- coffee grounds mixed with harsh bittersweet chocolate, slight toasted malts, roasted barley, hints of vanilla and light coconut- charred oak and some medium bourbon notes. Char and chocolate in the flavor some more old coffee hints, roasted barley- more oak and vanilla, - finishes off with a slight charred acrid bitterness and almost a slight tartness and a drying finish.

Botlle courtesy of fogdog, and shared at the Bockyhorsey tasting. Deep black pour with a creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted coffee and malt, bourbon and some fruit. Flavor is sweet, but doesn’t quite come together. All of the elements are there, just a bit unbalanced. Alcohol and bourbon seem to overpower the other elements by the end of the glass. Good, but not great.
