Thanks to goldtwins for this one. Pale orange beer with almost no head. Aroma is lightly fruity and berryish. There is a lot of acetone in here. Chewy/furry sourness. Flavour is actually fairly sweet without much sourness despite the aroma. Finishes with a light tartness but the strong solvent components are quite distracting. Some light citrus through the middle. I want to like this, but I don’t.

Ill hook up by hapjydeuce, thanks Jason. I drank this after GABF, I needed something special to put the night to bed. I was not disappointed. Pours completely dead, no life or carbonation to the beer. The color is murky, dark, straw. Aroma is all cobweb-y brett. A strong sour-lemon character (reminiscent of Cantillon). Mouthfeel is dead as expected. Taste is very lemony sour at first and a strong brett sour bite at the end. I really liked this, lets give it a bit of carbonation to get the juices going. Otherwise, I am surprised the base beer for Chez Monieux, a lifeless, empty, filtered, shell of a lambic, is so damn good.

Bottle: Generously shared by beastiefan2k at the hotel during the 2008 G.A.B.F. Pours a hazy headless orange. Great funky aroma! Very cheesy and damp, old barnyard, horse blanket, and grapefruit. Slick and very acidic on the palate. Lots of funk in the flavor as well, with a subtle sweetness. Very citric and acetic. Grapefruity, with cheesy funk/lactic bacteria, and acidic citruses of lemon and tart orange. There’s an underlying apple cider touch when it warms. Nice and funky American stuff; Lambic-like.

Bottle shared by iowaherkeye. Yum, thanks. My sample was from the bottom of the bottle. Yum again. The yeasty, sludgy stuff is often the best. Poured a cloudy yellow-orange color. The head was white. Lovely funkified aroma reminiscent of distant cow pasture, moldy old leather shoes, and apple cider vinegar. Slightly sweet up front with a spicy, tart, mouth puckering finish (like an apple cider that sat around well beyond the freshness date). I tasted tart cherry, sour apple, oak, and a splash of white wine vinegar. The spices lingered pleasantly on the tongue along with the acidity. Deliciously funky.

Rate beer rating # 4,600. 375ml bottle acquired in trade with Dunk (thanks!). Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with no head. Aromas of wood, some funkiness, vinous, light citrus, and some vanilla. Tastes of vanilla, lighter vinous quality, citrus, some funk, and some wood. Light tart finish. Very soft body with almost no carbonation.

Poured a murky golden color with no head or lacing left on the glass. Aroma of brett, citrus fruits, vanilla, grass, and white grapes. Taste of grapes, green apples, some cinnamon, vanilla, and a lengthy sour finish. Thanks for sharing Steve!

gold pour with no head. Aroma is vinager, oak, funk. Very strong, mmmmmm! Flavor is a little more toned down. Wine tannins, oak, dust, nail polish remover. Acidic, tart, yum! The carbonation is lacking this from standing out as elite, but very good.
