Brewer Guild Fest 09: Pours a muddy, dull orange with a thick, cream colored head. Nose is full of fresh hop notes of the piney pursuasion. Flavors a hoppy as well with an almost missing malt background...yet the interestingly soft body here allows the hop flavors to shine rather than to overwhelm...citrus rind and pine everywhere. Very interesting IPA with a softer body than most.

Served on cask at the San Diego Brewers Guild Festival 2009. Appearance is slightly hazy gold with a thin white head. The flavors and aromas are creamy earthy hops, cask flavors, and a nice malt balance. The mouth is creamy and cask flat. A solid IPA.
