Jun 15, 2009 Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt, roasted malt, alcohol, and wood, as well as a light note of bourbon. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of roasted malt, wood, soy sauce, and chocolate, as well as light notes of bourbon, leading to a dry and bitter finish. But the body is thin. Mar 24, 2009 Black with a tan head. Medium dark roasty malt aromas with milk chocolate. Rich, smooth mouthfeel. Good roasty malt flavors with lightly sweet milk chocolate again. Drys out some for the finish. Very good.

Mar 22, 2009 Darker brown color with a big roasty coffee/chocolate aroma. Flavor seemed a bit bland, though drinkable with roast and dark chocolate. Thin feel. OK, but subpar for these guys.
