AgentSteve (747), Livermore, California, USA Jul 8, 2008 Updated: Jul 14, 2008 Rare bottle courtesy of seaoflament, pours a cool bright pink with a hint of orange in it. The nose is Chardonnay like with a touch of tart cherries. The flavor tart mostly to start, with a subtle cherry mid, followed by a perfect oak, toasted almond nutty finish. As it warms a bit, subtle coconut is present in the nose. Really enjoyable on a 100+ California evening coinciding with my 600th rating and 37th Birthday.
puzzl (1729), New York, New York, USA Aug 29, 2008 Sample at a tasting. Surprisingly nice, as I wasn’t really expected much out of this. Very buttery, oaky aroma, a touch of cherry flesh. Taste has loads of cherry up front and in the finish, but is blocked by some chemically character most of the way through. Decent acid with a nice touch of complimentary sweetness. fiver29 (303), Strongsville, Ohio, USA Aug 23, 2008 Bottle shared at Cleveland tasting on 8-23-08. Thanks!! Bottle pours a reddish color with a off white head. Has a nice tart aroma with some cherries added in. Flavor follows with some nice tart cherry, lemon, some must flavors, and finishes with a mellow tartness that I like. Overall this is nice brew. I am glad I got the chance to try it. Bhops (195), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 21, 2008 bottle thanks to mar. Pours reddish/pink, with aroma of brett and cherry. Flavor to match... sour cherry and red wine, with medium palate. Dusty, cherry aroma. Tart, cherry flavor with backing lemon, green apple, and oak. Medium body. Tart/sour lingers with the fruitiness in balance. Acetic in background. Refreshing. Not bad.
