Ultra fresh growler pour at BA Numbskull line tasting. Copper-gold color with a medium white head. The aroma was big and bold with fresh green hops, lots of chlorophyll, and fresh cut grass. The flavor had a good citrusy hop profile, cotton candy and thyme. The finish was short and clean. The mouthfeel was silky and malty. Overall: An exceptional IPA. Rerate on 10-09-2009. Original comments still valid, bottle is as good as the tap (at least when its fresh).

On tap at The Local in San Diego. Clear golden colour, moderate thick white head. Enticing aromas of juniper berry and grassy hops with a sweet edge. Crisp clean malts with a low sweetness and a subtle spiciness, resinous green grassy hop bite with a touch of citrus, finish is lingering and bitter.

Tap at Downtown Johnny Browns. Pale golden beer. Aroma is fairly citrusy, fruity and tropical. Light orange peel, tangering, and a light pale malt sweetness as well. Light bitterness with just a bit of light bit of maltiness. A touch of honeyish character as well. It’s fairly light, but it’s got a good balance of light hops and malts. A pretty solid IPA.

Growler from Naven. This is like a SD lite ipa. Spicy hop presence with a biscuit background. A nice, complex, very drinkable ipa.

Growler. Pours a clear amber with a big, fluffy, white head. Big pine and citrus hops aroma. Very hoppy taste of pine and grass. Lingering bitter cleanness. Very refreshing, nice IPA.

Growler shared by thickfreakness. Thanks Charles!
Pours a bright clear orange color with a lasting light beige head. Smell is fruity, herbal and bright and fresh hops. Taste is dry, fruity, earthy and herbal hops and not sweet at all. Dry, and with a medium mouthfeel and average carbonation. Very sessionable, and overall, pretty nice, I thought.

Poured a golden amber color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted malts, amarillo, toffee floral hops, and citrus. Taste of citrus fruits, toasted malts, light caramel, pine and a grapefruit finish. Thanks to Steve for sharing the growler!
