Floral and citrus aroma. Pours clear golden with a perfect head. This is a perfect IPA for every day. 7% ABV is strong but not too much to handle.

On cask @ O’Brians in San Diego. This beer seemed meant for the cask. Rich and creamy with a solid hop flavor and gentle bitterness. There was just enough malt sweetness to balance the flavorful hops. I do not normally order the same beer twice, but in this case I felt obligated.

This was poured from a growler purchased at Alpine and I also had a glass on tap at O’Brien’s the day before. Bright orange color with a white head that really laced the glass. The smell was a little pine but mostly bright fresh citrus fruit, excellent. The flavor was like nectarines and oranges, so juicy and hoppy, fantastic. This beer really impressed the hell out of me and I hope I can get my hands on a couple bottles if they release them. Serving type: growler Reviewed on: 09-21-2009 23:17:50

Growler- Huge thank you to my best friends Tyson and Kristen Richart. I couldn’t have asked for anything better for my 200th rating!!! She poured a Yellow 1 finger medium-small bubble head. Nice hoppy aroma, grass, pine, and citrus. Strong grapefruit hops flavor with a very well balanced pine/earthy bill. Behind the grapefruit lies a nice orange/lemon peel finish. Dry with a touch of pine spices. Kind of makes me want to walk in the woods. Almost a perfect IPA.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this growler. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a medium foamy off white head that left nice lacing. Aroma of this wonderful citrusy/orange with floral, spicy notes, light pine, toasty, biscuit, touch of caramel...this aroma showcased the Amarillo/Simcoe hop mix wonderfully. Flavor of pine, grapefruit, orange, caramel and toasted malt, bready and dry. ONe of the better IPA’s I have had in quite a while.

This smells fantastic to me right now. I challenge anyone to smell this beautiful beer and not be turned on by its blasting aromas of honeysuckle, grapefruit, and tropical fruits. Boss. Tastes great too with an extremely clean and nicely bittered finish. Pretty fucking impressive. I’m a sucker for this kind of beer. Me want more!

I’m not even going to waste my time comparing this to Pure Hop because this is a different recipe altogether. Pours light gold and smells like a sack of fresh greenbud. This is always a bonus. The taste is that delicious, hoppy and super fresh. I could drink this all day long and probably hurt myself later in the evening. My favorite from the Alpine folks.

Draft at San Diego Brewing Company. Very nice head toped this deep golden glass. Aromas were citrus hops, and a bit more in the light fruit catagory such as peaches. Flavors were very similar with a really nice malt backbone that finished with a wonderful hop presence. Very tasty
