Pale golden color, light lacing. Nose is all pine, lemongrass, and peach. Great flavor, grapefruit, lemon, and tangy notes, very crisp. Has some fizz on the tounge, then seems to soften up. This beer is awesome, I wish I had another bottle. presario (2987), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 10, 2009 Bomber from South Bay - thanks, Joey! I saw my man Turd rave about this and wondered if it was going to be all that. Check! Bubblegum and fragrant hops in the nose, big and inviting as is the luminous frothy pour. Such a soft and smooth palate on this one, tends to facilitate the complex interaction between sweet and bitter flavors. But then again, on some level it’s not so much about complexity as about the simplicity of pure enjoyment. Damn good. mar (1903), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 8, 2009 When I cracked this bottle open there was an instant smack in the nose of huge grassy hops, smells amazing like I just mowed the lawn or something! Very clear dark orange color. The nose on this is just incredible. Flavors of honeydew melon and mandarin orange, slightly on the sweet side. Great beer. Rciesla (3719), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 7, 2009 Bottle. Pours a copper orange toned body with a white head. I think alpine makes some of the best ipa’s on the market right there with RR and Alesmith so there might be some personal bias here. Fresh floral citrus grapefruit lush skins that are bittering and yet sweet and tart. A pine y citrus sweet crisp medium with a bittering and yet still crisp fresh cut herbal grass y tone. Very fresh and a touch green, and awesome overall. emacgee (1891), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 5, 2009 Thanks to smokepot23 for sharing. Pours a lovely bright translucent gold with a 1-2 finger sticky white head. The nose is absolutely amazing, wonderfully pungent and resinous while being very delicate and refined, fruity, citrus rind, spicy Simcoe character and a nice balancing malt sweetness. Flavor is a delicious blend of Simcoe and Amarillo characters that simultaneously allows each to be expressed individually in the context of their joint impact. Simcoe adds a light piny and spicy character underneath the citrus and mandarin orange flavors of Amarillo, resinous hop feel with some pink grapefruit rind all laid over a crisp sweet malt profile. Palate has the perfect level of perceivable bitterness with a slightly spicy quality. What a boss IPA.
