Pours a clear golden with a moderate foamy white cap. Aroma is a wonderful blend, with citrus, grass, pine, floral, grapefruit, and even light spice and tropical fruits in the mix. Flavor is equally stellar, with more of the same, and the floral and tropical fruits coming out a little more. A nice lasting finish, and well balanced against a gentle caramel malt background with even a hint of vanilla. This is a very well done DIPA, and easily on par with some of the best in the style. Thanks again Christian, I definitely owe you one! Swolf3 (252), Elkton, Maryland, USA

Awesome aroma of hops as soon as its poured. Lots of pine and grass on the nose. Taste is the same, lots of pine, lots of grass and citrus hops. Basically hoppy and bitter. Well balanced. Really smooth and easy to drink. Not a trace of the 11 percent. Overall a great beer. Thanks to wolf and hophead22! paytoplay (123), , California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Great aroma. Nice rich complex hops, pine, spice, floral and only a touch tropical. Great upfront aroma and flavors. Not as rich and viscious as I usually enjoy. Mid is nice but starts to fade and the finish is short. Maybe the 10+ alc thins and cuts this down too early. It is pretty darn good, wish this was in bottle. danielcurtis81 (888), San Diego, California, USA

Nose if strong pine resins, and a nice floral bouquet. Flavors go from grapefruit to grapefruit zest. Sugary at times. Pine resins take over at times too. Mouth is uber bitter with a long finish. Alcohol sneaks up at the beginning then shows its face more. Great beer, complex hop characters with an excellent malt backing. mspindler (301), Alta Loma, California, USA

Pours a clear orange color with a white head. Aroma is fantastic with a touch of citrus but more pine, some pineapple and honeysuckle sweetness. Flavor is pretty much all the same. The first thing I noticed was the coconut pina colada kind of flavor, probably due to the vanilla from the oak chips combined with the pineapple. Full mouthfeel a little spritzy carbonation. Dark yellow pour, very clear with a nice white head and lots of lacing. Lots of pine with the slightest bit of sweetness. Very smooth, a good amount of maltiness to go with the hops and some alcohol warmth in the finish. This was very good. BrotherGrendel (583), San Diego, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 8, 2009 A- Clear light orange hue, thin lacing of white foam, spotty lacing
S- Bouquet of citrus and pine hops, dark fruits and molasses
T- Taste starts with smooth pine and grapefruit hop wave, transitions to floral, earthy and grassy hops, a nice cascade of hop flavors
M- Medium-bodied, oily resin texture coats mouth, mild carbonation
D- This embodies complexity and layering within a bold DIPA, it is delicious from start to finish, the alcohol is totally masked which is a feat at 10%, this was an absolute joy to have on cask and one of my new faves
