375ml bottle shared by suzygreenberg. Pours a deep amber brown with an white head. Nose is sweet and bready maltiness. Hints of caramel, prune, oak and a touch of whiskey. Taste is has the flavors picked up from the nose with low carbonation and pretty smooth given the ABV. Thanks Ben!

Bottle shared by suzygreenberg. Thanks Ben! Toffee, caramel, fruity malts, brown sugar and whiskey barrel notes on the nose. Not super strong aroma, but the way everything worked together was a very pleasant olfactory experience. Hazy amber color with a thin bubbly head. Flavors of caramel, toffee, fruit cake, wood, vanilla, flat floral hops, and alcohol/whiskey notes. The carbonation is low and it drinks relatively smooth considering its 15% alcohol. A light bitterness rounds out the finish, and this one warms you up in the chest.

Bottle courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Pours a clear dark amber brown color with white-tan head. Aroma is intoxicating. Sweet and malty notes give way to raisins and sugar plums, wood, vanilla, stronger oak notes, ripe dark fruit, brandy. This is one beer I didnt want to stop sniffing. Flavor is malty and sweet with complex bourbon and malt notes, vanilla, oak, caramel, dark chocolate. Very syrupy and smooth mouthfeel with a pleasing and warming alcohol finish. Amazing beer.

Bottle courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Thanks Dave for another Barley Wine. Aroma of oak, cardboard, caramel, vanilla, and booze. Taste is oak, caramel, vanilla, and booze. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild to moderate amount of bitterness and slightly hot alcohol. Very good.

Thanks ibre2or3. Dave, you once again brought out a great barley to the table. Bottle of 2004-05, pours copper with beige head and ice yellow lacing. Aroma full fledged bourbon with good notes of malts and wood. Taste of light caramel and chocolate malty, filled with bourbon, making it an amazing beer. Light caramel with the 14.7% abv remaining very hidden. Nose plus mouthfeel is just out of this world. Words cannot do the beer justice as it was really hard to put this one down.

Thanks Ibrew2or3 for the share. Pours brown with a nose of spice, vanilla, oak, maple, and bourbon. Flavor is earthy bourbony vanilla, oak, maple, alcohol, spice, sugar, and lingering sweet earthiness. Smooth as silk, very mellow, and ultimately "delicious."

Bottle, courtesy ibrew2or3. Very cloudy amber gold pour, no head or lacing. Nose is very smooth caramel, some roasted oak, slight vanilla and booze. Very good hot caramel flavors, molasses, honey, brown sugar, hot oak and bourbon. Perfect. Extremely good. Taste blows away the aroma. Very smooth and delightful. The ABV is invisible ultimately. Love this one.
