Commercial Description:
6.6% Belgian Brown Ale aged 3 months in Calloway Vineyard’s red wine oak barrels with cinnamon, nutmeg (fresh, hand-ground) and Pumpkin. Some special wild yeast gives it a cherry pie tart flavor and the spices are gracefully subtle. The red wine helps with some tang, too.

[Bottle] shared by Faro99. Pours a clear pumpkin orange with some floaties and a diminishing beige head. Aroma has a touch of pumpkin, alcohol, spices, and a hint of lactic sourness. Flavor is moderately sour, some pumpkin, brett, and not much else.

Sampled during Skyview Sourfest II and shared by faro99. From a 22-oz bomber pours a semi-hazy brownish amber brew with thick off-white that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, nutmeg, oak, and a hint of cherry. Taste is medium bodied, a tad sour the flavors of roasted dark malt, pumpkin, nutmeg, a hint of raisin and oak. Finish is semi-dry, some tartness with a hint of dry spice.

Flesh mellon & sour funk with faint spices. Very tart flavor, a little cherry and a vinous wine character. Very nice. Thanks to faro99!
