’08 bottle
Pours dark brown, whit beige head.
Aroma of pumpkin and toffee, some roasted malts. Overall spices and pumpkin is wonderful.
Flavor was a little weaker. Overall the beer could have been better with possibly a little higher abv.
Plenty of pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg. Roasted malts, thin body with hints of gingerbread, finish is a little weak with hints of bitter hops. markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Oct 8, 2009 Thanks IBrew2or3 for the share. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Nose is pumpkin, vinegar, malt, spice, and some vanilla and maybe chocolate. Flavor is water, vinegar, pumpkin, spice, malt, and cocoa. Interesting blend of flavors in this medium-bodied beer. HOPSHUNTER (376), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 26, 2009 Bottle. Poured black with a creamy tan head. Aroma is great, lots of roasted malt, spice, and maybe a touch of pumpkin. Medium bodied with a thin mouth feel. By the aroma I was expecting a very flavorful beer, this was not the case. Flavor was roasted malt with extremely light notes of caramel, chocolate, clove, and cinnamon. Tasted quite watered down, flavor completely doesn’t match nose. TampaBrew (715), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 23, 2009 Pours a hazy brown. Nose is pumpkin spices, noble hops, and sweet biscuity malts. Flavor is semi lacking. Some dry cocoa, spices and mild toasted malt. decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Aug 7, 2009 Dark brown with creamy tan head and lace. Choclate dirt with a hint of sour. Combination of thin chocolate and watery coffee. Must I say this beer is a bit thin and watery. AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Aug 1, 2009 Dark brown with a frothy tan head. Tart dark wheat aroma with spicy peppercorn. Frothy smooth mouthfeel. Sour dough and wheat bready flavors with mild roasted nuts and a taste of chocolate. A little too much sour dough here. BeerHawk (1175), Huntsville, Alabama, USA Jul 26, 2009 Bottle at Noogfest High 5. Poured brown with a tan head that left light lace. Aromas of musty, earthy malt and some light fruit. The flavor found chocolate, roast, and a fruit backing. Medium body and bitter sweet. DaSilky1 (1924), San Diego, California, USA Jul 23, 2009 Updated: Jul 24, 2009Why oh why do people keep serving me beers on nitro without telling me. Nitro is satan, keep it out of all beers, please. Super dark pour with thin nitro-head. Matly, chocolately, and nutty nose. Mouthfeel was wet and flat thanks to the nitro. Flavors were diluted, but showcased a little chocolate mousse and ground nuts...a touch of roasty malts comes out in the finish. Its clean, but it does absolutely nothing for me...taste like flat gola malt soda without sugar and after being roasted over propane.
