Nose-raw, metal, ashtray, light ass, leather, not a very good nose. Taste-thin, flat, unsweet berry juice, smoke, burnt malt or plastic, something burnt. A very bad beer. Worst of the night. This DW pours an almost black body with a tan head. Aroma is spiced; cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin, and some lightly toasted malts. Musky fruity German malt character, with hints of earth. Creamy sweet spiced nectar. Butterscotch and toffee to round it out. Not bad. miketd (684), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

Aroma is spiced and has some yeast, Flavor is earthy, spice and tart. Not sure if the tartness was intended but it was there. Thin and bland. Much better to be had from these guys. fiver29 (726), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 20, 2009 Bottle shared by Miketd. Thanks MIke! Pours dark brown/black color with light tan head. Aroma is very subtle sweet malt. I don’t detect any spices in the aroma. Has a thin mouthfeel with a lot of carbonation. Flavor is slightly malty upfront. This is very subdued. Finishes with a slightly tart flavor. This is a pretty one dimensional brew. Just ok. Acknud (790), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 12, 2009 Amber pour with a frothy white head. Aroma of fall spices including nutmeg and cinnamon. Slightly malty taste where the spices come through fairly well. Guerde (710), Welcome, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2009 (bottle from stefanje, thanks!) Pours dark brown with a medium tan head. The aroma is mainly composed of roasted malt, but there are intermittent spikes of cinnamon and nutmeg that waft in and out of perception. There’s also some anise, but very little to no baked pumpkin initially, but with some warming it becomes stronger. The roasted and toasted malts are showcased in the taste as well, with a spike of tart wheat pre-finish, followed by a lingering cocoa and baked pumpkin finish that really is nice and is the best feature of this beer. Mouthfeel was medium. Not too bad, but was expecting a little more in the way of pumpkin aroma and flavor. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 22, 2009 Pours dark brown with thin tan head. The aroma is moderate in strength bringing up pumpkin, cinnamon that seem to be mixing with roasty to chocolate malts. Very nice. The tate is thin with highly roasted malts, a light amount of near burnt malts, mild cinnamon spice and pumpkin notes. Decent stuff. A sessionable experience. golubj (1290), Sunnyvale, California, USA
