Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is orange and coriander. A light to medium bodied fruit beer. Malts are fruity and sweet. The mandarin flavor is prevalent but not overwhelming, and it pleasantly citrusy and not overly sweet or acidic. Nice mix of citrus, coriander and orange zest. A very drinkable summer beer, light and refreshing enough to be able to drink a lot of it, yet complex and crisp enough not to be boring. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. Hairofthedog (419), San Diego, California, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 19, 2005 Draught pint at The Local, San Diego. Orange-copper colour with a small head. Fresh aroma of sweet malt and honey - no mandarin yet. Flavour is quite sweet - more honey, more malts, and ah, there’s the mandarin peeking through in the finish. Not bad - they kept the fruit & honey reined in enough to avoid turning the beer sickly sweet - but a pint was more than enough for me to satisfy my curiousity. Cletus (5060), Connecticut, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 16, 2005 Thanks to Dark Elf for this one. Pours copper with a small with head. Smells of grapefruit, oranges and lemons. Tastes of oranges with a lysol like finish. I really thought I’d like this one, but the taste reminds me too much of my wife’s organic household cleaners she likes to use. SDalkoholic (1198), Chula Vista, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 14, 2005 From the bottle: I could barely pick up an aroma of the mandarin and nectar, so i felt skeptic from the beginning if i would enjoy it. Afterall, I admit that in a good fruit beer, aroma is the quality i find the biggest pleasure in. It had a white soapy covering of head on top a beautiful gold in liquid form. A lot of bubbles rising to the top in a spiral steam. Once i had a sip or two, i found the mandarin orange i was searching for in the aroma, but it was a small delicate touch matched with a evenly amount of honey flavor. Would of liked the coriander to have been kicked up a notch, but the amount of malt used and hop were very well balanced that i shouldn’t ne complaining. Nice beer overall and wonder what a delight it must be from the tap.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 3, 2005 Bottle. Pours reddish/orange in color. Aroma is slightly grainy and yeasty with traces of orange. Tastes pretty good. The orange flavor is strong yet subtle at the same time. Slight tartness all the way through that picks up a bit at the end. Good fruit beer. FoolishMortal (966), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 2, 2005 Pours a deep golden yellow, generous white head, decent lingering. Mandarin and coriander dominate the aroma. The citrus is deep enough to almost be grapey. Light body with pungent mandarin flavors, tempered by other spices. Coating mouthfeel, but not chewy, more like fruit pectin and yeast esters causing it. Some minor hop notes supplement the fruit character. A nicely balanced fruit beer, but I feel it could benefit from a greater malt backbone. This would drive the sweetness to being more beer-like instead of fruit drinkish.
