Commercial Description:
Our most versatile beer. Good to drink as well as cook with. Light enough to quench a thirst and complex enough to accompany fine dining. Carmel malty sweet fades to a chocolate roasty finish and dry from a touch of rye. 1.057 OG 13 IBU 6%ABV

My bottle (650ml) shared with HogTownHarry, tupalev & GregClow -- courtesy of toncatcher. Pours a clear amber with a small diminishing tan head. Aroma of lightly burnt caramel malt, toffee, fruit and faint hops. Flavour of caramel malt, butterscotch, fruit and light hops. Medium boded. An O.K. beer, I could drink it again.

Bottle: Deep amber, pretty heavy, some sediment, frothy white head, decent lacing.   Malty/Biscuity nose, very slight cardboard and overcooked vegetable.   Very minor, but its there.   Somewhat of a spicy malt forward tongue.   Not sure of the spice, but its a little fiery, hot like peppers.   Hmmm, not what I would have expected, but its fairly pleasant.   Not much hop presense if any.   Thought it might be a little more heavier in regards to the malts, but it is not.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Finish is a little cereal like, mealy, perhaps a little stale which brings me back to the cardboard.   Tiz okay, but nothing spectacular.   Thanks for the bottle Larry!

Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, Blankboy, and GregClow, courtesy of Blankboy. Dark orange, creamy white head. Odd some sort of malt aroma with some sweetness. Decent malt taste. Medium foamy body. Average.

Bottle. Dark reddish amber color, with thin head. Aroma of lightly roasted caramel malt. The flavor is the same. Semi-sweet with a smooth palate.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy & tupalev - blankboy’s bottle. Sunset amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is odd - some toffee in there, some dryness, and a strange harsh edge. Medium body. Flavour is decent - sweet malt, a bit roasty, mild hops. A decent mellow ale.

Bottle (22oz). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and tupalev, blankboy’s bottle. Clear deep amber, smallish creamy-foamy beige head. WTF this aroma? Some dry toffee, herbal hops, and odd butterscotch malt. The taste has very little of the butterscotch - it’s a tad buttery and sweet, floral dry hops, slight alcohol burn. Creamy body, light carbonation, slightly bitter in the fiinish. Ehh.

650 ml bottle from Sprouts market. This one pours a rich amber color with a small off-white head that quickly fades to nothing. The aroma is slightly sweet with malts and caramel. The flavor did not blow me away, I taste moderate caramel, raisins, and hops. The mouthfeel was a bit uneven starting watery and finishing sticky; the carbonation was prickly and distracting. The Finish was short and biter-sweet with a lingering taste of caraway and rye. Overall: A better than average red, but yet somehow it just does not click for me. Recommended with reservations.

Had on tap at the brewery, while picking up a growler of exponential. Amber color. Medium fluffy small bubble head. Nice everyday red, but lately there have been so many good stronger flavored beers.
