Aroma of rich caramel malts, sweet tea, light floral hops and summer fruit. Flavor of caramel malts, molasses, bitter herbs, a bit of spice and pepper in the finish. Medium body, crisp carbonation. Nice drinking, flavorful ale. ElBorracho (472), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 19, 2006 Sampled at the brewery. Thin and watery with generic malty presence and almost unnoticable hops. Drinkable, but I’ve had much better. RAYBOY01 (1834), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 17, 2006 Rather bland and boring example of an Irish red ale. Drinkable but nothing noteworthy. Rather thin-bodied and watery as well. Some sweet malt bottom but lacking any bittering highlights. Naven (873), Poway, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 12, 2006 22 Oz Bottle: Decent but unremarkable red beer. Nice red color. Pretty malty flavor, without much hops. I’d drink it again, but Im not about to go out of my way to find it. Bartzilla (443), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 11, 2006 An easy drinking red. Very flavorful and a treat to imbibe. I’ve had it draft and in bottles and they both tasted great with no discernable difference. One of my go-to ales. bb (2919), Martinez, California, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 25, 2006 On draught at brewery. Probably my favorite of the brewering offering I have tried, though pure hoppiness is a very close second. Copper colored with a light off white head. Flavor is very complex for an Irish Red. It has a nutty caramel flavor along with a very slight hint of chocolate backed by a dry maltiness. Hop are well represented though not over done. Snojerk321 (1962), San Diego, California, USA
