Commercial Description:
A West Coast Double IPA So mega-hopped it will take you to hop heaven. We’ve used hops in the boil, more hops in the giant hopback, and added to that, an incredible amount of dry-hopping for that cutting-edge “hop bite.” Once you’ve tasted this unique beer, all others pale in comparison. 1.072 OG Classified IBU 8%ABV

Bottled sample via (and shared with) oakbluff. Very clear orange in colour with medium carbonation. This is a citrusy c-hop assault on the nose, with pine and grass notes following up. The clean malt flavors mix well with the huge orange-grapefruit hop explosion. Fine drying bitterness, with no alcohol notes (surprising for an 8% brew). Reminds me a bit of Two Hearted, but kicked up a notch. Great stuff.

Clear amber with a frothy head. Nice piney, floral hop aromas with some ashy ganja roach. Medium body with soft carbonation. Great taste is a caramel malt sweetness carrying fantastic hop flavors of pine sap and wild flowers. Earthy sweetened hop tea here. great beer.

From a bottle shared by krausenjockey, very nice for an IPA with more of a resin filled IIPA nose. The flavor is much more subtle and balanced with caramel malt, with a nice, clean dry finish.

Bottle pours amber/orange color with tan head. Aroma is big pine, citrus, and bold hops. Has a medium mouthfeel and has hop blast upfront with mostly citrus coming through. Some malt on the back end and is overall a really nice IPA.

DELICIOUS! Pours a nice godlen/orange color with a white head. Aroma is citrus, pine, floral, and some malt. Flavor is juicy and hoppy and has some good malt in the back. Good stuff, damn good stuff.

Sample at San Diego Brewing Company. This brew is a mostly clear orange-gold color with a thin off-white head that diminishes steadily. Patchy lacing on the glass. Fruity hops aroma with some caramel malt interplay. Medium-bodied and lively on the tongue with a floral hops character and a solid caramel and malt undertone. The finish is citrus and hops with a lingering bitterness left over. Good all around.

22oz bottle. Attractive hop dominated aroma with grapefruit, pine resin, and lime notes. There was also a whiff of spices. Poured a clear medium orange color with a lasting off white head. Some decent lace was left behind on the glass. Light to medium bodied with hop bitterness on the higher end of the spectrum (7-ish out of 10). The flavor was mostly resiny/citrusy hops with a delicate graham cracker/caramel malt backbone. Delicious. Eminently drinkable.

Huge aroma with the best hop balance/combination of any imperial iPA in San Diego county. Clear golden color. The flavor isn’t overly bitter but has a large amount of malt but not too sweet, to an retain an IPA-type balance. Very tasty. Hits you in all sides of the mouth with a combination of bitterness and sweetness. Overall I love this beer. I’ve had it several times and it continues to be a favorite of mine. Actually, I think the cask version of this is probably the best double IPA I’ve ever had.
