Commercial Description:
A West Coast Double IPA So mega-hopped it will take you to hop heaven. We’ve used hops in the boil, more hops in the giant hopback, and added to that, an incredible amount of dry-hopping for that cutting-edge “hop bite.” Once you’ve tasted this unique beer, all others pale in comparison. 1.072 OG Classified IBU 8%ABV

Bottle at toncatcher’s. Pours a clear golden with a small head. Light sweetness with a moderate bitterness. Quite hoppy with aromas of grapefruit and hints of pine. Sticky mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Long bitter finish.

On tap at O’Brien’s in San Diego, CA--Poured a pale golden-copper body with a creamy white nose. Spicy, creamy, sharp bitter flavor. Stinging hops presence. Pretty damn tasty.

A- Pours a golden yellow hue with a 1.5 finger eggshell head which sits on top of this brew for quite a while. S- Smell consists of extreme piney hoppiness with almost a grassy flare and a definite sweet, caramel malt backbone. T- The hoppiness pretty much overides all else here but I guess thats what you should expect! Starts off with a blast of pine and moves into a wheaty breadiness with alcohol and bitterness intertwining at the end. M- More viscous than your average DIPA with quite a bit of carbonation. D- This is a huge hop bomb and I think it would be quite the stretch to say it is overly drinkable. I love hops and DIPAs but this one didn’t quite do it for me.

Bomber. Pours a clear, light amber with a thin white head. This had a wonderful, sweet pine and citrus nose. Could sit and whiff this all day. Taste was pine hop with some malt. Delicious. Mouthfeel is medium with a nice bitter aftertaste.

On tap at Obrien’s. Poured nice light orange hue, very refreshing floral nose. Killer pine and hop forward taste with an extremely nice balance overall. The finish was extremely smooth and not at all what I expected being named pure hoppiness. I really enjoyed this beer and had the pleasure of meeting Pat the brewer while I finished off my pint. Excellent job on this one, thanks Pat~
