Commercial Description:
A West Coast Double IPA So mega-hopped it will take you to hop heaven. We’ve used hops in the boil, more hops in the giant hopback, and added to that, an incredible amount of dry-hopping for that cutting-edge “hop bite.” Once you’ve tasted this unique beer, all others pale in comparison. 1.072 OG Classified IBU 8%ABV

Nice light amber color with a big pillowy white head; great retention and lacing. Citrus and lemon zest notes in the aroma; very hop forward. Also a bit of a smell I can only describe as dank and slightly vegetal. The first taste I get is a bit of the vegetal one noted in the aroma, thankfully it goes to a combination of lemon, orange, and pine shortly thereafter. Slightly higher than medium carbonation and a little less than medium bodied. Good beer, I’d like to try this again. Thanks, Kyle!

My second Alpine beer and these guys continue to please. An old bottle so I was worried... A hazy beer with massive rocky head that stuck around for twenty minutes. Strong citrus hop aroma and flavor and a nice bitter bite on the finish. A spectacular IPA

Got this beer in a trade and then drank it back in Ireland from the 22oz bottle. Aroma hits you the second that you open the bottle even before you pour. Pine and hop notes dominate right away but not overpowering. Pours to a 1 finger head on top of a nice light amber color with little haziness. Head disappears within 2 minutes and leaves a nice lacing as the beer goes down. Hops is the dominating characteristic taste here and is backed by some light citrus and piney hints-little to no malt sweetness. Not too full, but definitely enough body to fill you and ends with a rather dry finish. Seems fairly balanced though. I tend to be a bit hesitant around beers with the word ’hop’ in their title as sometimes they can be a bit one-sided and too much for my taste, but I think that this one is nicely balanced and could sneak up on you at 8%. I’ll definitely try another if I get the opportunity.

Bottle. Light yellow pour with a nice two finger head. Leaves a ton of lacing. Nice citrus hop and light tangerine smell. First taste is a piney resiny hop with a light malt profile. Light bitterness, not harsh at all. Great malt profile that blends perfectly with the hops. As it warms up, it comes alive with a biscuit bready taste and the hops fade to the background. Dialed in carbonation. Two years ago this was one of my favorites.

From a growler fresh from Alpine...this batch has Nelson and Amarillo hops that supposedly replaced ?cascade due to shortages. Rich copper-amber color, small head, giant fresh, rich, citrusy aroma and flavor...bright and flavorful like a hop perfume with a tasty bitter finish. A lovely hop monster!

Pale clear orange colour with a soft thick foam head that is slightly off white. West coast citrus hop aroma. Flavour is initially tame but the hops hit quick and hard. Nice flavour overall that really highlights the hops without being hugely bitter and difficult to drink.

(22oz bottle) At hospitable Enniskillen’s RR Batch 001 Party. Quick dissipating head, high carbonated and a deep golden body. Nose is great. Nice orange and pine hop flavour. Very good.

Bottle shared by BigErn. This is your typical west-coast hoppy beer. Pours a nice dark gold in color. Smell is hops with some underlying malt. The thing that stands out in this beer is the development of the hop taste throughout each drink. Initially you’re hit with the grassy/piney hops. Then midway through the tongue you get a bit of juiciness that shows up. Really quite pleasant and very easy to enjoy. Would be killer on tap.
