Poured a deep dark burnt orange with an average sized soapy right white head. Aroma is really nice with a good dose of honey and caramel sweetness blended in with lots of citrus hops. Full creamy mouthfeel with a very bitter slightly dry finish. The flavor is similar to the aroma with lots of citrusy hops and caramel sweetness but it’s not qjuite as good as the aroma. A very solid DIPA, really nice stuff. BobbyAnalog (29), California, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Oct 15, 2009 A bold, proudly rich foundation of hops and maltiness. The color is of that of tan nouget, with an aroma that packs a noteworthy wallop. Pure Hoppiness is a sipping beer, who proudly wears its title as being a thick, comfort food. jcr (1190), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 12, 2009 Bomber. Clear golden body. Fizzy. white head, mostly diminishing. Hoppy aroma of resin, pine, orange peel with hints of grain and dough. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately bitter and lightly acidic. It finishes lightly sweet, moderately acidic and heavily bitter. Its finishing taste is bitter grapefruit. Medium body, watery/smooth texture, lively carbonation. Nice, West coast, hoppy IPA with lots of resin and grapefruit, but not as complex nor as interesting as a Hopslam or Dreadnaught, both of which have a bigger malt backbone. arrogantb (715), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 8, 2009 22oz bottle purchased at Alpine for $5 which I think is a great deal for a double IPA. Clear golden color, soapy head, good lacing. The smell is hoppy but not in the fruity, citrus vein and more of the oily grassy hoppiness. The flavor is quite hoppy but again, not much fruit or citrus but a ton of oily bitter hoppiness with a decent biscuit-like malt to back it up. This is a fantastic value and if I could I would buy this all the time.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 6, 2009 Bomber poured into pint glass. I have been wanting to try this beer for a long time, glad I finally found a bomb of it.
Awesome dry citrus aroma of grapefruit and other pine like resin fragrances. Big and dry flavor, more dry than I anticipated. Big body, big flavor. Really clean and rather scarily quaffable. Freakin tasty beer. clong83 (243), San Diego, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Very tasty. Full mouth of hop flavor, resins and very sticky. Caramel malt to even it out, but this one is definitely built for hopheads. Spicy and hoppy, but somehow not overly drying, and with a relatively smoother finish than I was expecting. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Sep 28, 2009 bomber - purchased from South Bay Drugs; third time is a charm as I finally hit a solid bottle; hazy orange with soapy white head; resiny, thick, piney hop aromas; full bodied, big time bitter and sticky sweet; mildly abrasive, which would be my only complaint; spicy, stiff, strong and resiny; could use a little sweetness to even it out, but this was damn good angrypirate06 (781), Texas, USA
