| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 17, 2007 22oz bomber, no date. Pours a clear golden orange with a one finger slowly fading off white head. This one has some delicious aromas of pineapple, citrus--namely grapefruit--floral hops, some pine, and some sweet caramel malts. Flavor has a bit more resiny pine, though the pineapple is also quite strong. There are also some sweet caramel and grainy notes. Bitterness never really gets out of hand with this. Alcohol is somewhat noticeable only in the throat, and a few seconds after the swallow--overall masked quite well. Burps pine needles. Soft light to moderate carbonation, medium body. Great ass beer. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA

Aroma of citrus, grass, light caramel malt, some pineapple and some other tropical fruitiness. Flavor of pine and grapefruit, a bit of tropical fruit coupled with some light sweet malts. Bittersweet flavor throughout, some stickiness to the mouthfeel with a bitter/sticky finish. Overall a really nice IPA.
