Commercial Description:
A West Coast Double IPA So mega-hopped it will take you to hop heaven. We’ve used hops in the boil, more hops in the giant hopback, and added to that, an incredible amount of dry-hopping for that cutting-edge “hop bite.” Once you’ve tasted this unique beer, all others pale in comparison. 1.072 OG Classified IBU 8%ABV

On tap at the real ale fest. This was catagorized as a Double Ipa. Like all hoppy beers this was very citrusy, piney, and a tad sweet. What makes it diffrent from the others is that there is almost no resin and ether. Very elegant and smooth with the malts making it nice and velvety.

Huge citrus hop aroma, perhaps the most citrus slanted hop aroma I have ever experienced, some grainey hop and malt underneath, lighter clear orange amber color, A quick touch of sweetness, followed by a mouth ful of hop flavorwith a ton of long lasting hop bitterness in the end. If you wash it around your mouth and chew it a little bit,you can taste that citrus you smelled in the aroma, but that bitterness is pushing its way in for your attention. A very unique hop beer, one every hophead will have to figure out a way of trying

At a mini-meeting of The LoSBD: This poured out a nigh headless, thick amber body and had a heavy caramel aroma topped with some resinous hop bitterness. Almost chewably thick with the malt, this nevertheless had a solid balance between the sweet malt and the pine and grapefruit hop flavors, the latter emerging triumphant in the dry, bitter finish. Not too shabby.

Poured a thick, clear amber with a small, sudsy head that faded quick to a scant island of film. Piney PNW hops with light soapiness in the aroma. Sharp hop profile in the flavor with a thick balance of malts. Alcohol drys out the finish and the lingering effect is peppery.

22 oz bomber. Big IPA with floral/apricot heavy hops and the citrus/pine notes keeping to the background. Nice lingering bitterness. A solid IPA.

Pine and resin aroma. Deep gold color with amber accents. Pine, citrus and apricot flavors. Almost chewy. Hops are so strong the malt is nearly submerged. Good. Finish is hoppy and dry, nearly astringent. Good. This is really good stuff.

2 fingered, offwhite, tight beaded head. Retention is very good. Lacing is coating and sticky. Clear, copper/gold hued brew. Hop aroma is fresh, big, piney, sappy and a bit floral, mmmmm. Body is medium a tinge oily. Hops dominate, juicey, resiny, piney, fruity with notes of apricots and tangerines. Malts are faint, lightly biscuity. Finish is dry, hoppy and juicey. Thanks to fordest once again !!

Fresh from the brewers tank, sampled standing up at the "tasting counter" up in the mountains northeast of San Diego. El_Borracho and I enjoyed these together, but the brewery’s counter is so small, one of us had to leave, just to let some one new get in the door. Not very relaxing atmosphere after a fairly long drive out of the city. Huge hop nose (surprise?) and big pine hop bitterness, with a small and half-hearted attempt at balance by the muted caramel bottom. Pretty smooth round and creamy mouth feel. I like this one a lot. 8%abv pretty well concealed.
