Big fruit cocktail hop aroma, with hints of peach, pineapple and grapefruit, along with a light hint of oxidation and not a lot of aromatic malt contribution. Flavor is pleasantly hoppy, but it definately could use a little more bitterness. Peach, nectarine and grapefruit flavors, with hints of pine. A pretty lofty body as well, with toffeeish malt flavors. An older bottle, with some oxidation. Will have to rerate someday. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Wonderful floral hops, don’t get me wrong:I love that citrusy grapefruit blast of a goog IPA but this is very nice. Flavor of the hops isn’t overpowering but ,man the perfume just cascades( no pun) down your throat. Very nice brew. 11026 (1779), Alabama, USA

I had this beer after Pliny, and it was MUCH better. If this is an IPA, then a hefeweizen is a IIPA. Extreme hoppy goodness. Best beer of SD 2005 trip. iwantalambic (1389), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 9, 2005 22 oz capped bottle, courtesy of DarkElf: clear amber with a white Styrofoam head that settles into a plateau before diminishing to the edges. Sweet maple syrup laced pine cone and hop aromatics. Very solid (and tasty) hop flower and grapefruit citrus flavours. Clean, smooth palate with minimal bitter aftertaste, though hop blenches are plentiful. This beer offers a wonderful match of sweet, resiny hop flavours, light bitterness and wonderful sharp citrus…I would much rather drink this all night that the over the top hop monsters, wonderfully crafted! Cheers and thanks to DarkElf! MullMan (1085), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 4, 2005 12 oz bottle. Crystal clear orange beer, thin white head. Big massive resiny hop aroma, clean citrus. Flavour is very resiny, citrusy, very clean malt profile as well. Loads of aroma and flavour hops, but the bitterness is quite subtle. Quite grassy toward the finish as well. Oakes (8113), gone rambling, Cambodia
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 4, 2005 Golden-amber colour. Intense green hoppiness - cedar and orange. Just a big megahop beer, very green and citrusy. If you are imaginative you can envision some pale malts in there somewhere. Good beer? Not really. Tasty beer? Oh yeah.
