| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jun 23, 2005 Updated: Dec 7, 2005Cask @ 05’ Pizza Port Real Ale Fest: Orange-like color, light white creaminess in the head. Nose of bruit grapefruit and chinese gooseberry inspired hops, light toast. The flavor is promising. Strong sting of bitterness and moderate hops wash around. It’s good and strong in the hop department with almost enough to crash the waves of body against it. Almost there, if only the levy could have held then maybe the villagers on my palate wouldn’t have been washed away by the hops. ReRate: Sampled at Oakes’ ’05 Xmas Party Full bouquet of the hop family, pronounced and sweet floral pollen. Balanced flavor, not over the top with bitterness but obviously in the dry-hop department. Nice mellow and refreshing finish. A very masculine nectar that’s quaffable and chuggable. 9-3-9-5-15 erway (1002), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA

Nothing memorable heemer77 (4304), Savannah, Missouri, USA
