Commercial Description:
A West Coast Double IPA So mega-hopped it will take you to hop heaven. We’ve used hops in the boil, more hops in the giant hopback, and added to that, an incredible amount of dry-hopping for that cutting-edge “hop bite.” Once you’ve tasted this unique beer, all others pale in comparison. 1.072 OG Classified IBU 8%ABV

Shared by my brother in law, Josue, this past Sunday. 22oz bottle purchased from Ashur Liquor, Imperial Beach. Smells of pine, citrus. Pours light golden orange, thin head. Hop taste is strong, but not overpowering, good mix of malts and citrus flavors, nice bitter dry finish. One of the most well balanced IPA’s I’ve ever had.

Bottle shared by gregc from BA at Captain Lawrence during the release of the newest vintage of the St. Vincent’s Dubbel. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Pineapple, caramel, citrus, and vanilla on the nose. Medium bodied and a little bit sweeet. Finishes with a big grapefruit note and a touch of sweetness.

On tap at Stone. Poured into an 8 oz glass. Dark golden color with orange highlights. Nice creamy cap of tan foam with good retention and lacing. Aroma is very resinous and tropical, with citrus zest, oranges/tangerines, and herbal notes. Flavor is pure hops, hardly any malt getting in the way. Underripe grapefruit and orange with a bitter herbal finish. Pretty solid west coast DIPA but clearly a tier below a beer like PTE.

Thanks Todd for sharing. Pours a translucent light yellow with a thin white head. Great look. The aroma starts off with garlic for me, no one else got that. I did. Sweet pungent hops, citrusy and resinous, but I get garlic too. The flavor is sweet and hoppy, resinous, chewy hop flavor, grapefruit rind. Tasty. Dry palate with a medium bitterness.

Thanks to Todd for sharing this one! Bright & hazy orange pour. Fluffy white head and spotty lace. Sticky fresh hops on the nose. Resinous citrus and grapefruity flavor. Hop driven with excellent malt presence.

Pours a copper-orange with a good sized white head. aroma of citrus, floral pine hops, with some carmel malt in the background to balance out the hops. flavor is of grapefruit and pine hops, fruits like apple, and some carmel malt to balance the hops in the background. mouthfeel is medium and somewhat resinty with a dry, bitter hop finish. overall, a excellent imperial IPA.

Poured copper with a white head. Aroma of citrus. Flavor started strong with lemons and finished with a sweet malt background. Refreshing.
