The aroma is really nice; loads of powerful hops, citrus notes. The flavor is excellent; rich citrus hops, light caramel and malts. Fairly dry and yet juicy. Light alcohol and a nice full mouthfeel. Very nice. A good IIPA. harbuck76 (134), El Cajon, California, USA

This was a total turnaround from the OBrien’s tap. Nose was full of orange, honey, and hops. Flavor was much the same with a great dryness towards the end. Starting to really distrust taps... Original rate: Tap at OBrien’s. I am unclear how this is either a DIPA or one that gets to be called Pure Hoppiness. Maybe I got a Blind Pig on accident. I got nothing in the aroma. Color was a very mild, pale gold. Flavor was creamy and citric with more grain than hop in the flavor. Malts were not present. I’ll try it again sometime. HopheadHans (755), Bay Area, California, USA

Aromas of pine, resin and some citrus. Flavors of citrus, spice, and a very sharp hoppy bitterness., not so much floral note. Has a nice malt backbone but a very bitter finish nonetheless. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 28, 2009 On tap at BSAF. Poured a clear copper color with a half-inch, frothy white head that slowly receded to a thick layer and left some spotty lacing. Aroma of leafy, lightly piny hops, a bit of resin, and some spicy herbal character. Smooth, lightly sweet entry with some soft citrus fruitiness (orange and tangerine) that leads into a moderately bitter, leafy hoppiness with some light pine dryness on the finish. Moderate carbonation and decent mouthfeel. Pretty nice IIPA. RCL (1480), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 19, 2009 Beautiful bright copper pour with a creamy eggshell colored head. Delicious candied fruit and juniper aroma. Flavor has great balance, lots of hops but they don’t overpower. Great stuff. JohnnyJ (1339), Carlsbad, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 17, 2009 On tap at Obriens. Pours a clear gold with white head. Tons of fresh hops and tropical fruit in the nose. Very sticky hops and quite bitter, not much balance, but this is a fresh hop bomb. A good IIPA if your looking for hops.
