Fruity aroma with some dried pineapples and some gourd squashness. Very interesting aroma similar to fake blood (corn syrup). Pours a cloudy orange color with nice small head. Flavor of citrus hops with small malty backbone. Nice texture and balance though. Very easy to drink.

At 8%, I couldn’t tell and it tastes quite sessionable. Well done. Thanks again buddy!

Nice aroma of citrus hops, light sweet malts, maybe a little bit of caramel. Taste is of tangy citrus hops, light caramel malt and maybe some pine showing up in there also on the hop front. Well balanced and very easy drinking. Very well done. zizzybalubba (390), Elizabeth City, North Carolina, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 2, 2009 22 oz. bottle from South Bay Drugs. Dark orange pour; medium foamy off-white head. Enticing caramel, pine, and grapefruit aroma. Taste is great but a little less than I was expecting given the aroma. While I don’t mind bitterness this one led me to believe it was going to be more balanced. The hops are a bit on the piney side. It’s really a minor complaint in what is really an extraordinary beer. dmac (1488), Toms River, New Jersey, USA

Poured a deep dark burnt orange with an average sized soapy right white head. Aroma is really nice with a good dose of honey and caramel sweetness blended in with lots of citrus hops. Full creamy mouthfeel with a very bitter slightly dry finish. The flavor is similar to the aroma with lots of citrusy hops and caramel sweetness but it’s not qjuite as good as the aroma. A very solid DIPA, really nice stuff. BobbyAnalog (27), California, USA

The color is of that of tan nouget, with an aroma that packs a noteworthy wallop. Pure Hoppiness is a sipping beer, who proudly wears its title as being a thick, comfort food.
