Commercial Description:
Since “Willy” is so versatile and can be flavored with fruits and essences, we add a touch of vanilla extract to compliment the sweet nuttiness. Also good mixed with Captain Stout, a blend we call “The Captain and Vanil.”

on tap-pours a retaining foamy white head and yellow color. Aroma is vanilla. Taste is vanilla (some cream character), faint grain. Occasional. OK carbonation.

On tap @ the brewery. Asst. brewer said it was brewed with Vanilla extract, not beans.....oh well. Poured just like Willy, clear gold with a 2 finger head. Big vanilla nose, tasted like Italian cream soda.....pretty good.

Tasted at Brewery. Yellow with a fluffy white head. Vanilla and bread aroma and taste without being overly sweet. Better than I was expecting.

Tried a sample at the brewery, while picking up some growlers. Nice mild vanilla aroma Pale yellow color. Small mixed bubble head. Used to be made with real vanilla beans, but vanilla consistency changed, so now they use a high quality vanilla extract. Great vanilla aroma. Light body and color. I think it’s their ale with vanilla.

Via Growler shared with my pal liz who picked this up at the Brewery. Pours straw with a thin white head. Nose is wheaty with a little bit of vanilla on the edge. The taste is pretty crisp and light, overall pretty much a wheat beer with something extra. The vanilla definetly adds some smoothness and something extra in the taste. Not amazing but decent.

A vanilla flavored version of the willy. Pretty interesting flavor...I think they have several of these willy flavored brews. Not exactly my cup of tea - but still not bad.

On Tap @ brewery. Clear golden color with bright white head. The vanilla jumps out at you in the aroma. The vanilla in the flavor mixes with the sweet malts to create a none beer cream soda taste. This brew was constructed to appease the none beer dinking crowd.
