danielcurtis81 (879), San Diego, California, USA Jun 11, 2009 Bottle. Pours a crystal clear bubbling gold. Vanilla/cream soda with a light wheat. Light and refreshing mouth. Good light beer. Ungstrup (14724), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 6, 2009 Draft. A clear ligth yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of wheat and light notes of citrus. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of wheat and citrus, as well as medium notes of barley malt, but also a light skuny note - what is in it? alexanderj (2212), Chino Hills, California, USA May 1, 2009 Bottle. Poured a golden color with a small to medium, quick lived white head. Aroma was not great; grainy and wheaty, with some must. Flavor was better. Wheat, grain and sweet malt. Pretty one dimensional and lacking great flavor, but at least average for the style. harbuck76 (127), El Cajon, California, USA Apr 19, 2009 22 oz bomber pours straw yellow small white head. aroma is grainy taste more like a pilsner . Refreshing good for hot days. Give a bud /miller/coors/drinker this. Tell them to drink local...( if their from the area ) nbutler11 (729), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Mar 9, 2009 Bottle split with the notorious AJM - thanks, I guess. Pours a straw color with a trim off-white head. Smells and tastes of vanilla and pear air freshener sprayed on top of a carpet made of grain. Have to admit that this was a DP - just way too cloying. It’s the thought that counts, though... wetherel (1565), Encinitas, California, USA Nov 18, 2008 On tap. Yellow. Fluffy head. Easy to drink. Nice sessionable beer. Some nice grainy notes. WeeHeavySD (2940), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Sep 18, 2008 Sample at the Brewery today, pours gold with a white head. Nice drinkable american wheat with some a nice balanced feel. enginaaron (73), San Diego, California, USA Aug 23, 2008 Remarkably clear with low head retention, but a nice white fluffy head. Low aroma, but smells like pilsner malt. Low sweetness, with slight wheat and a small bit of pilsner malt. I.... I don’t get it. I LOVE Alpine, Pat makes some amazing brews, but I don’t get this beer. I would’ve preferred an actual wheat beer but this is just like a booring pilsner/wheat. Three cheers for clarity, though.
