pivnizub (3770), Porúří, Germany May 21, 2008 Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep golden, slightly hazy, small, but stable white foamy layer; vegetables and cloves in the wheaty-yeasty nose; light swetish-tart flavour, light to medium bodied; vegetables again in the sweetish-wheaty finish: Bad, unpleasant stuff......... Jukkabro (2349), Tampere, Finland Dec 19, 2007 Dark golden colored, hazy appearance. Little white head. Grainy aroma with slight banana note, slight spices here also. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is also basic one: grains and sweet fruits, mild banana here too. Medium carbonation comes up. Aftertaste dries. Still rather boring brew. MiP (4927), Flensburg, Germany Aug 23, 2007 BBF07. Hazy golden colour, small white head. Good mild banana flavour. Refreshing. High carbonation. Dezzilu (169), Versailles, France May 24, 2007 I am one that can not be pursuaded that all German Wheat beers are world-class: This beer certainly isn’t. The pale golden color is indicitive of the light and throughly uninspiring flavor. The finish is not smooth and hearty (like good Hefe) but was overly bitter and odd. In fact, this beer more reminds me of a poor British bitter, then a robust German Hefeweizen. It is easy drinking, blah, blah, blah, so no one will be offended, hense a score of 1.8. Just don’t expect much. MoritzF (3690), Ruhrpott, Germany Jan 9, 2006 (swing top bottle) Hazy orange colour with a diminishing frothy white head. Yeasty and malty aroma with a sour touch and a tart pear-fruity note. Moderately carbonated light bodied mouthfeel. Quite dry malty and fruity taste (pear, apples) with slightly sour and tart fruity and spicy finish. Not very round but drinkable Weizen.
