Jul 4, 2008 500ml swing top bottle from Beers of Europe. Crisp carbonation. Cat pee hops. Clean, decent enough malt - slightly bready. Some soap in the finish. This is fairly average for a pale lager - a smudge more hops than the standard global lager, and a smudge less than typical for east Europe. I was impressed by the Hopfig Herb last year. Not so impressed with this.

Jun 10, 2008 Swing-toop bottle (50 cl) from a local beer store in Berlin. Clear golden, short white head. Grainy malt aroma with some herbal hops. Spritzy mouthfeel. Dry and quite bitter. Boring, expected more from this one.

Clear golden color, white head. Sweet, spicy and almond nutty scent.Sweet malty a buit fruity fresh taste. Medium mouthfeel and bitterness. Good looking bottle. 6/3/7/3/13=3.2 \ / Second rating: 50 cl plopp-bottle thanks to Falki from the WOA forum! BB 07.09. On January 2, 2009. Clear pale golden color, fluffy white head. Sweet malty scent, also a bit herbal and some vegetables. Malty, sugary, some vegetables taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness. 5/4/5/3/11=2.8

Jun 3, 2008 50cl swing-top bottle. Straw coloured with a thick fast-fading white head; wt straw aroma; sweet and grainy flavour with some malt and a gentle nettle-like bitterness; little finish. Another boring German lager.

May 11, 2008 Pours a medium yellow. Aromas of malt, caramel, and some grass. Flavor malty and crisp with some nice hop bite.

Feb 26, 2008 Nothing really inspiring with this beer. Nothing wrong either but it suffers from the mediocrity that is inherent to the style. An slightly vegetative aroma of corn and subtle yeast. Color is a crystal clear golden yellow with a quick dissipating white head. Flavors are a bit grassy, some hay with a watery mouthfeel. Standard lager here.

Dec 17, 2007 The bottle is the same like the "hopfig herb" - where are the labels? Good use of hops, but the finish is really washy.
