Pours light brown with a thin head. Lots of malts. Drinking is nice, pretty smooth, a little bit of a bitter aftertaste.

Smooth, but slightly watered down. A nice blend of flavors, but nothing particular.

A very refreshing helles bock. Grains, wheat, toast in the nose, with some slight apple and pear esters and earthy hops. The taste is similar, quite sweet, and a smooth grainy quality, bread, caramel, with a lightly bitter finish featuring spicy hops. Light, refreshing.

The aroma is malty with corn, vegetables, and grassy hops. The appearance is hazy gold-orange with a thin but attractive head. The flavor is like the aroma. The finish mildly bitter. The palate is thin but OK for the style. Overall its just not that good.

Pours a slightly cloudy hue with a fast fading white head. Aromas of banana, yeasty dough, and mild hops. Mouth feel is light bodied with flavors of bananas, a light creamy touch, a touch of caramel, and corn bread. Nice, with a light dry sweetness.

Pours a very pale color with a thick fluffy white head. It looks like a good pilsner, however tastes quite differently. The beer has a defined sweet malt aroma of bread dough and a little bit of wet hops. The texture is delightful, very thick but creamy. The flavor is slightly more dry than sweet with a nice malt character.

In short: A standard pale bock lager, average for the Maibock (unofficial) style.
How: Bottle, 500ml swing-top, consumed fresh a few days after purchase
The look: Clear golden body topped by a medium white head
In long: Mostly typical classic Maibock flavours. Juicy citrusy bready and caramelized body. A bit doughy. Some cooked vegetables but not really bothersome. Boiled eggs (I get that from certain lagers, I’m the only one). Good mouthfeel. Nice thirst-quencher but overall a pretty standard offering for the genre. A little Maibock with nothing special. Notamünster Maibock.
