It’s dark golden with a bid, creamy white head that shrinks slowly to a wispy top and a little lace. The aroma is bread, grain, grapes, raisins, fruity white wine, honey, and pine/grass. The taste is similar, with grain, bread, fruity white wine, grapes, grassy, herbal, piney hops that slowly build in flavour. It has a light acloholic warmth and spiciness with a nicely balanced sweet body that has light bitterness. ryanknock (150), San Francisco, California, USA

Grains, wheat, toast in the nose, with some slight apple and pear esters and earthy hops. The taste is similar, quite sweet, and a smooth grainy quality, bread, caramel, with a lightly bitter finish featuring spicy hops. Light, refreshing. islay (479), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 9, 2009 16.9 oz. bottle. Sweet, fruity, surprisingly hoppy, buttery aroma features apple, nectar, and honey scents. Very pleasant and appetizing smell. Pours a dark gold to brass color. Slightly hazy with much suspended particulate. Large amount of fluffy, nearly white, light beige head. Flavor mimics the aroma: Fruity, sweet, and floral. Honey and nectar elements. Some alcohol noticeable. Light dry aftertaste with some dirt-bitterness. Very drinkable. Medium body. Crisp and lively in the palate. This is a good beer! It’s a strong, late spring refresher. pivo (2537), Germany
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 29, 2005 Light lager nose with a hint of sweet honey, gold color, tall spongy head. Honey-ish malt taste that is creamy and smooth. Low broad bitter. The alcohol warms the throat as it goes down. This is a pretty fat beer. Classy too. Dickinsonbeer (3499), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 30, 2008 .5 liter bottle- looked new and fresh from the Whole foods on Bowery/Houston. Pours a nice crystla clear deep gold with a nice thick white head which fades mostly. Aroma is bready doughy, light vienna malts, some toasty thick swet light munich, and a nice floral german hop kick. Flavor is initially doughy, malty bready, some mild floral hop middle and a decent finish, but somewhere in the back of the palate I get a wierd sharp solventy almost acetone or harsh vodka like alcohol in there- especially as it warms. Best to drink pretty cold. Nice beer. IPALover (57), Carlsbad, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 24, 2008 Very nice uber dry maibok. Very little aroma likely from a german haulataur or similar noble hop. The taste is very dry with a nice hop bite followed by a strong malt background. dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 18, 2009 An over-the-top wheat aroma. The taste is much better than the smell. A bit sweet, but not that wheat heavy. This beer grows on you. sneagrams3 (1759), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Grainy nose with a touch sweet breads. Light to medium bodied with mild effervescence. Touch toasty with a slight hop presence. Crisp body with a touch tingle. Slight bitterness. Good palate roll and tasty. Caramel malts with an ever so slight cola and coffee undertone. Solid session brew. Good drinking.
