| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 19, 2003 Very clean, Saaz hops induced aroma - not skunky at all, hints of frush cut grass. Fluffy white head upon pourign - very abundant - good lacing to go along with it. Light golden appearance - lots of bubble action. The flavor has a bit of a honey sweetness to it overlaying the light hoppiness and gentle malts. Vrry smooth mouthfeel - almost velvety. Absolutely no aftertaste. Very good Lager. loweredsixth (942), Fresno, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 9, 2003 Pale yellow color with a sickly white head. The aroma was captivating...slight hops bitterness...some maltiness...grassy tones with a kind of mint character. The flavor was boring...basic malty lager. Very watery feel. madsberg (5055), Søborg, Denmark
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | May 29, 2003 Bottled: Golden coloured. White head. Sweet and malty charachters in the nose. Flavour is very sweetish and boring. Is drinkable when cold, but when it warms up it gets a little cloying. krisbierjaeger (844), dolores, Colorado, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 26, 2003 aaah yes, almost every german town has at least one: the fabulously quaffable helles thirst quenchers, combining the duality of easy drinking with rich golden grains inextricably bound with sassy but cleverly understated hops. but this isn't one of those. alas, the poor denizens of altenmunster must hike over to the next town, 'cause this one is a wan and feeble effort. yellow as grandpa's toenails, head as thick as a napkin, reeking of pathos and failure. nose at best mimics light honey-biscuits -- some sweetness, functional carbonation, lemon notes, miserly hopping. in it's dreams it has the grandeur of a leinenkugels, which is like a worm dreaming of a being a toad. bleh. kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 4, 2003 Aroma has an overwhelming hay aspect to it. Very cloudy blond pour, quickly dissipating head. Flavor, well I just can't get past the hay. It masks what little sweetness exists. Pass on this one. Voivod (304), Como, Italy

The taste is malty and hoppy. This beer is very drinkable, but not really as good as other German beers. DallasBryan (111), Dallas, Texas, USA
