Aug 1, 2002 This beer came as a total shock. It was delicious. I have no idea why everyone else dislikes it so much, but I would gladly have a few more. It’s got a sweet-ish body with a slight bitterness that’s pleasing in a mild, malty sort of way. Very good. Over $5 a bottle!

Jul 28, 2002 excellent i dont see this often but try it when i see it this is a must be fresh beer no sediment at bottom not even a dusting. nice almost ozone kind of aroma nice sweet malt flovors backed up with a nice dry hoppiness.a fine pils

Feb 13, 2004 True amber color with a thin head. Caramel aroma and sweet caramel flavors predominate. Good amber lager.

Oct 15, 2003 Smooth start, light crispness in the middle, with a lightly sweet, bubble gum finish. Appearance a bit murky, light head.
Overall, an excellent choice...very enjoyable.

Nov 30, 2002 Good stuff. Nice, easy to drink beer with a rounded, not too bitter flavor. Dissapointing head that dissipated quickly, but otherwise nice. Almost cloudy.

Nov 15, 2003 Got this in a 1pint flip-top bottle says "bavarian speciality" on the label'.
Well the appearance is nice but not unusual for a lager nice head deep yellow coloured beer.
I liked the aroma of this beer,..very malty with a barley scent to ( ive been in a whisky distillery and this smelt like the malted barley stage)...liked it a lot.
Nice dry malty taste though less than I had expected given the aroma..nice crisp on the palate.
Feels good and smooth in the mouth leaving some small hoppy after taste on back of tongue..good.
Nice drinkable lager beer..would have again.

Jul 22, 2004 I’m not sure if I’ve had any others of this style for comparison, but I enjoyed this quite a bit and I’m rather suprised at what I consider a low average it has here.
Cool swing-top bottle, poured a cloudy straw color with a white head that lasted the entire beer.
Scent was malty with some light spices to it.
The only problem with the flavor was that it was a bit too thin, so I docked it here and with the palate score, but it’s nicely rounded and balanced. Overall, as I stated, this is quite nice.
