Pours dark brown with off white head. Aroma is malty, light roasted and hoppy. Taste, malty, some light caramel notes and sugar with hops in the background. There is light yeasty/hoppy taste that leaves an almost spicy feel. Light chocolate, leaves a thick mouthfeel.

Swing top bottle courtesy of mcbackus. Pours a clear deep reddish brown with a 2 finger creamy beige head. Nose is super sweet. Ripe dark fruits, brown sugar and molasses. Taste is prunes, raisins, burnt caramel and a light hop finish followed by more sugar. Medium mouth feel. Not bad, just a tad on the sweet side for me. Thanks Matt!

Pour is dark ruddy brown with a dense tan head...smell is toasty and sweet with pumpernickel and molasses....taste is sweet and toasty with lots of dried bread and a strange salty and sour flavor coming up in the end...

(GERMANY) Pours a dark brown / amber color with a dissipating med-tan head. This doppelbock has a caramel, citrus, and prunes aroma. The taste is of molasses, brown sugar, and caramel !!! The mouthfeel is sweet, and there is a slight alcohol warmth, followed up by a dry finish.
