| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 11, 2009 (Bottled) Clear dark red with a huge, slowly descending, lacy and beige, cloudy head. Aroma of dried fruit, caramely malt, hints of oak. Dried-fruity, sourish-caramely and slightly ashy flavor with some oaky tannins, berries, and hints of vanilla. Medium body, slightly thin, not much carbonation after the foam has settled. Not extremely enjoyable, and somewhat thin. Alvinne should also learn the art of CO2 in beers - nearly all of the bottles seem to be gushers of some sort. marcus (1904), Sacramento, California, USA

Fresh fruity aroma - red fruits. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is lightly tart, suggesting cherry. It’s oaky. Finishes very pleasant. Quite good. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 1, 2009 Bottle that I picked up at the brewery/shop March 09 consumed 31-05-09 This bottle literally exploded on pouring and then just pumped until about half of the contents had found there way over my shirt, table and floor, thank god I chose to open this one outside. Poured murky puddle brown with an off-white head. The aroma is a little sour with some cane sugar and spice. Taste is tongue numbingly spicy (a little overdone methinks) alcohol also shows and its fruity with some brown sugar there is alight sourness at the edges and whilst interesting this is merely an ok sort of beer. Poured a deep and cloudy amber color (almost brown) with a smaller sized off white head. Lots of big suspended floaters. Aromas of roastiness, bananas chips, chocolate, caramel, toffee, and lighter spices. Tastes of chocolate, caramel, tart cherries, grape skins, dark fruits, and some sugary sweetness. Had a lighter tart finish which I liked. michael-pollack (2749), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
