| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 25, 2009 Very lively carbonation to irregular, medium yellowish head, with fine bubbles, and deep orange-amber beer, clouded. Fruity nose with grapes, raisins and sugarsolution; hops following and a tad grassy. Parsley, some hops, ambrée malt. Gradually, a spritzy, sourish flavour sets in, that is not really disturbing, but surprising all the same. Warming up, it becomes obviously lactic in character. Very lively carbonation also apparent in the texture and MF, spritzy. Medium bodied at least, certainly for its ABV. Piet’s brews gradually improve, no doubt. But I still have the impression he’s moving "à tâtons" - here I wonder if the sourish tinge is intentional, and how it will develop. Many thanks to Glenn and Davy!
