Commercial Description:
A beer that came out wrong by mistake, hence the moniker "Cuvée Speciale".

(33cl bottle, 6.5% abv) Hazy, orange golden colour with a huge foamy white head. Dusty and yeasty, sweet malty aroma with notes of ripe lemon. Sourish and slightly bitter-tart flavour, medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Slightly wheaty and almost astringent citrus- and lemon-fruity, yeasty taste which covers everything else; dry and sourish tart finish. Probably beyond its prime time as the bb-date is not visible anymore (19.IV.09).

33cl, retired brew, last tasted one year ago, exclusive, from the brewery, easy to drink, not balanced, cloudy, rocky head, nice brew

As TBone says "I suppose that this the right one even it doesn’t mention "Cuvée Speciale": it is 6.5% and contains: "water, pilsmout, tarwemout, hop (challenger en ek goldings), korrelgist lesaffre T58"."

Pours out beautifully with a humongous head, especially with the Alvinne glass. A thick golden color with some slightly visible carbonation. Aroma is as usual for Alvinne, yeast gone wild, this is in the form of milky-pineapple with an airy Belgian feel and sweet candy. Taste is nicely different with the pilsner malt coming through and the esters are died down just a tad. Sweet finish but the strong carbonation chases away any negativity from that. My only complaint is that house yeastiness is so prevalent in all there beers that it is becoming a bit boring. Also, since when is a mistake beer become a "Speciale" beer, its like trading cards.
33cL bottle @ Bierbrasserie Cambrinus, BB 03/2009, in a large Alvinne tulip on 5/19/08.

Bottle, 33 cl. We ware the first who drinked this beer, at a taste-evening on febr. with Glenn & Davy from Alvinne. This is a special brew, by mistake. Aroma and taste is very hoppy with a good mix of sweet and bitterness. A very good aftertaste. But ill prefere the Alvinne Blond

I suppose that this the right one even it doesn’t mention "Cuvée Speciale": it is 6.5% and contains: "water, pilsmout, tarwemout, hop (challenger en ek goldings), korrelgist lesaffre T58". Hazy orange color, small white had. Perfumic hoppy aroma with hints of, leather an fruits. Medium-bodied. Dry, but fruity, some sourness, slightly cardboardish malty. Bitter, soapy aftertaste with touch of lemon.

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized white head . Aroma is sweetish sour/bitter and quite acidic. Flavour is quite much the same. Some slight fruityness also shows in it.

From bottle at 12de Vilvordia BierProefFestival. Hazy golden with a huge, rocky Duvel-like foam. Fruity hop aroma. sweet maltiness, matched by fruity hop bitterness. Nice.

A very special brew. A beer made by mistake. An error of the hop adding made it a mixture of Alvinne Blond and an Alvinne Extra. A very hoppy smell and a nice mix of sweet and bitterness. A very good aftertaste. We hope that they will repeat it because it is a very nice beer
