| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 15, 2009 Bottle. Pours cloudy golden orange, fluffy off white head. Aroma is musty, tangy, salty. Flavor is funky and bleu cheesy, dried fruit, and salty with a bit of vinegar element. The label led me to believe this was an IPA but this is definitely NOT an IPA by British or American standards, at least as far as taste goes. Not a bad beer, but not what I expected. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 23, 2009 Draft - Max’s Belgian Beer Fest. Hazy gold, white fizzy head. Soft citrus and candied spruce aromas ride a warm bready undertone. Dry bitter white grapefruit zest and black pepper flavors from start to finish. Lightly candied yeast flavors round this out well. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Decent stuff, but pretty one dimensional... thornecb (1802), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
