On tap at Novare Res in Portland. Pours a nice golden color with a nice big frothy white head that recedes to a ring by about half way. This beer is a bit of a surprise for me. Great aroma of hops, mostly floral and citrus. The amarillo hops are really obvious in the flavor, and I love it! It’s not as in your face as an American IPA would be, but it doesn’t try to be, the hint here is subtle and they do a great job.

Bottled, thanks to Alan for the recommendation! Poured slightly hazy medium golden with a creamy initial cap of white head that settled to a fine film after a minute or so. The aroma picked up sweet oranges and mangoes upfront in the form of meat and zesty hoppage.. time brought out floral notes and grapefruit.. lovely citrus bouquet that was quite fitting since I rolled into Orlando today. The flavor had more of the citrus (pineapple and orange primarily) in the sweet and bitter departments.. the edges had some bite from alcohol-laced pine and orange zest.. finished spicy, warm, and memorable. Medium-bodied and drier on the palate with plenty of bitterness.. tad sharp on the back-end, but very, very good overall.

(Rating #2152)

Bottle from someone in my fantasy football league. Thanks, guys! Cloudy golden with huge white head. Bottle overflowed after opening. Taste is a mix of belgian yeast and citrus hops. Light malt presence with minimal sweetness. Quite refreshing and enjoyable, but the finish is a bit too phenolic.

In short: A mega-hoppy Belgian blonde ale. Great stuff.
How: Bottle 330ml, consumed fresh a few weeks after receiving it through private importation.
The look: The gushing bottle poured a cloudy golden body with lots of small particles topped by a persistent large white head
In long: Nose is hopped to the max with a huge amount of noble grassy hops and some lemony meringue. A very yeasty beer with a pillowy fluffy body. Carbonation is aggressive, maybe a bit too much so. The fruity notes are quickly taken by a mountain of dry herbal spicy hops. Biting bitterness and very dry finish, almost sandy. Feels like a cross between a nice yeasty Belgian blonde ale and a fantastic Pilsner (i.e. Christoffel Blonde). This is definitely a beer for those who think that Malheur Brut Reserve is the shit. But those who think there’s one too many “the” in this last sentence should avoid it.

33cl bottle bought at beerplanet, Bruxelles. Pours hazy orange with a creamy egg white head and lacings. Nose is yeast and hops, piney, floral and citrussy. Taste is yeast and hops. Fruity, floral, hoppy and bitter. Medium bodied. Crisp. Ends dry. A fine hoppy Belgium.

Sampled on 12/26/2008. This Belgian ale pours an orange gold color from a 33cl stubby bottle. Medium sized white foamy head with decent retention. The aroma is herbal and grassy, with hints of pineapple and pepper. A medium bodied Belgian Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are floral and herbal. A hoppy and somewhat dry Belgian Ale. Very dry and yeasty. Nice carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Gusher, huge head. Nice aromatic yeast and hop (exotic fruit) aroma. Amarillos are apparent. Medium-light bodied. Rindy bitterness, touch of phenols, ditracting plastic, kind of takes over. I completely agree with Kinz -- smells great, but that plastic-y note is just really distracting.
