Jun 19, 2009 bottle thanks to bu11zeye. poured a brownish/amber with an off white head and wonderful lace. aroma of coriander, cinnamon, cherry, and spice. flavor was cherry, coriander, citrus, and and some dryness in the finish with a medium body. this was a great brew in this honest drunks opinion.

Jun 18, 2009 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours a dark brown with faint orange hues, beige head. Aroma is acidic, citrus, funky, some ginger. Flavor is very odd, funky, acidic, faint tartness, citrus, hints of coriander, faint oak, faint ginger. Mouth feel is light-medium body with high, fizzy carbonation. Over all, pretty damned good!!!

Jun 18, 2009 rating #1300. bottle thanks to bu11zeye. chocolate with a cream head. sour with wood and some slight tartness on the nose. definitely some corainder in there but, it’s quite light compared to the nice sour bite taht is in the finish.

May 22, 2009 750ml bottle at Gingerman. Pours a dark brune hazy body with a 3 finger tan head. Very spicy and the aroma and flavor, ginger root, cinnamon, coriander but in small hints, a light oak but i could have missed it in all the spices. Some lighter fruity esters, and cardamon with a light fruity oak finish. Alvinne has a serious spice rack. Good one.

Apr 28, 2009 Bottle from Bierkoning. Dark brown body. Razor thin head. Quite sour nose with slight sweet and fruit notes. Slight sour taste (too much for my palate). Malts, woods and oldness. Quite high ABV. Not really my type of beer. And doubly disappointing as it’s from one of my favourite brewers.

Apr 19, 2009 75 cl bottle, purchased from De Molen, where we had a lovely meal yesterday!! It exploded right after i opened it, losing about 20 % of the content. pours a dark red brownish liquid with very large creamy head. obviously very carbonated. tastes a bit acid-souerish which masks the fruit that is in there, somewhere. i’m a bit dissapointed to be honest, a bit too sour for this kind of beer.

Apr 11, 2009 It is a beautiful, dark red mahogany color and the head is creamy. The aroma has notes of malt, a light sourness, yeast, spice, berries and dark fruit. The flavour is slightly sour and sweet with notes of yeast, fruit, plum, berries and the finish is sour. IMO a bit too sour, unless it is a sour.
