Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with thin light tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and over ripe fruits, leading to a finish where the fruit note lingers.

Bottle at Alvinne pre-ZBF09. Citric aroma, dark malt notes, some raisin, smells oaked on wine barrels. Very dark clear brown colour, red shine. Small stable tan head. The flavour is mildly roasted, some fruit. Citric fruit notes, dried than the aroma. A little weak in the finish.

33cl bottle bought at the brewery shop during the pre-Zythos event. Thanks to thewolf, Rene, as I wouldn’t have bought a bottle unless he’d asked for one in a trade. Black as far as I can work out or very dark brown, thin beige head. Mixed dried spices hit the aroma first off. Yes there are some smooth dark fruits in the body and some juiciness. The spice reappears on the finish. Bit of cinnamon and nutmeg. The spice isn’t too dominant and there is room for some good jammy blackcurrant and blackberry in there. Even cranberries. Only a touch of sourness, but it is there on the sides of the tongue and builds in the finish. I don’t normally like spiced beers, but this one has balance and the juicy fruits are really likeable. Yep, a good beer. The sour dryness on the finish stops it getting out of hand. Decent stuff.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Malt and rhum in the aroma. Sweet flavor with apple syrup, caramel and coreander. Pear drups. Hints of roast, ginger and licorice. Not bad actually.
